Memphis, TNJune 14, 2010 Current eGolf Tour member Chris Rogers of Nashville, TN posted an 8-under 63 in the Monday qualifier for the PGA TOUR's St. Jude Classic presented by Smith & Nephew, in turn earning his second career start in a TOUR event. The former Ole Miss standout would go on to use rounds of 69-70-73-75—287 to finish T65 on the week.

Rogers, a conditional member of the Nationwide Tour this year, turned his second start at the St. Jude Classic (2008 and 2010) into his first made cut on the PGA TOUR. Playing alongside the game's best players, Rogers made the cut by three shots with opening rounds of 69-70 on the tough TPC Southwind layout. A third-round 73 would drop him down into a tie for 63rd, and a rough Sunday start would threaten to drop him even further down the leaderboard.

An outward nine of 6-over 41 was exacerbated by a bogey-double bogey start on the back nine at Nos. 10 and 11, but Rogers would quickly right an otherwise sinking ship. Birdies at 12, 14, 16 and 18 allowed the affable Tennessee native to close with a 1-under 34 and a final-round 75, good enough for a T65 finish.

Rogers, a winner on the 2009 eGolf Tour (Championship at Walnut Creek), had missed three consecutive cuts going into the week in Memphis and had only amassed $8,498 in seven starts this year on the eGolf Tour. He earned $11,704 for his efforts on the PGA TOUR over the weekend.

Other eGolf Tour players to make the cut at the St. Jude Classic include Will MacKenzie (T59), Michael Clark II (T61) and Casey Wittenberg (70).

MacKenzie began the final round in a tie for 28th and threatened to make a move early at 1-under through four holes, but the North Carolina native would struggle the rest of the way on Sunday en route to a final-round 76. In 12 starts this year alone, MacKenzie has one top-25 finish (T12 – The Honda Classic).
