Honolulu, HIJanuary 20, 2010 – Tom Gillis and Blake Adams, who each began 2009 as eGolf Professional Tour members and ended the year as card-carrying PGA TOUR members, kicked off their 2010 TOUR seasons in style with matching T25 finishes at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Gillis, who won the tour's Pine Needles Classic and Savannah Quarters Championship en route to earning his way onto the Nationwide Tour and eventually the PGA TOUR, is in the midst of his third career stint on TOUR this year. Gillis played the TOUR in 2003 and 2005, and has also spent multiple years on the European Tour and the Nationwide Tour. The Michigan-based journeyman recorded rounds of 71-68-70-66—275 on his way to his first top-25 finish on TOUR since a T12 at the 2005 Buick Challenge.

For Adams, the week in Honolulu marked his first career start on the PGA TOUR. Adams was one of five players making their first TOUR starts at the Sony Open, and amazingly all five players made the cut.

The Eatonton, GA native fired rounds of 69-67-71-68—275 and clearly got his TOUR career off to a good start with one top-25 effort in the books.

Adams won the eGolf Tour's Columbia Open in 2008 and spent the early part of 2009 on tour before literally Monday qualifying his way onto the Nationwide Tour, where he would join Gillis in the top 10 on the season-ending money list. The top 25 players on the Nationwide Tour money list earn their PGA TOUR cards each year.

Australian David Lutterus, who won the tour's Bolle Classic last year, is back on the PGA TOUR following his 2008 rookie season and a 2009 season spent on the eGolf Tour. In Honolulu, the charismatic Lutterus carded rounds of 73-67-70-70—280 to finish in a tie for 59th. In 23 starts on the 2008 PGA TOUR, his best finish was a T24 at the John Deere Classic.

Other former eGolf Tour players to make the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii include Martin Flores (T59), Aaron Goldberg (MDF) and Jerod Turner (MDF).

Gillis, Adams, Lutterus, Flores and Turner are all slated to play in this week's Bob Hope Classic, which begins today.
