Bogota, Colombia – March 9, 2010 – Longtime eGolf Tour member William McGirt entered the 2010 Nationwide Tour season with conditional status following a T90 finish at PGA TOUR Q-School last December. Rounds of 69-66-70-70—275 netted the former Wofford College star a T3 finish at the Pacifica Bogota Open Presented by Samsung and likely changed the fortunes of his status for the remainder of the 2010 season.
McGirt, who hails from Boiling Springs, SC, entered the final round in a tie for third after playing in Saturday's final pairing for the third round and posting a 1-under 70. Playing in Sunday's third-to-last twosome, McGirt got off to a rather shaky start with a quick bogey at the par-4 second and a quartet of pars to follow, before finally settling down with birdies at Nos. 7 and 8 to turn at 1-under 34. One birdie and one bogey on his closing nine left McGirt with a final-round 70 and a 9-under 275 total, two shots shy of former Ryder Cup star Steve Pate, who would eventually win in a two-hole playoff over Aaron Watkins.
Luke ListThe T3 finish, and $31,200 check, moved McGirt all the way up to No. 18 on the Nationwide Tour money list after only one start. The tour reshuffles players with conditional status after the South Georgia Classic in April, and McGirt will likely be allowed entry into every Nationwide Tour event after that point, based on his earnings thus far. He is already in the Chitimacha Louisiana Open in March, and will have to possibly rely on a sponsor's exemption to get into the Fresh Express Classic two weeks later.
Tying McGirt for third was former NCAA Champion and eGolf Tour player Jamie Lovemark of Rancho Santa Fe, CA. Lovemark, who won college golf's most prestigious title while at the University of Southern California in 2007, posted rounds of 67-69-74-65—275 to collect his second third-place finish of the 2010 season. One of the most heralded amateurs in recent memory, Lovemark's pro career is on the move as he is now up to No. 7 on the Nationwide Tour money list.
Former players Fabian Gomez and Luke List rounded out the tour's representation inside the top 10, with each player posting a T10 finish. The finish was good news for List, who began 2010 with back-to-back missed cuts in New Zealand and Australia, but has since recorded top-10 finishes at the Panama Claro Championship (T9) and in Colombia.
Other eGolf Tour players to make the cut in Colombia include Kevin Chappell (19), Adam Meyer (T20), Gary Christian (T20), Scott Brown (T29), Sal Spallone (T29), Kevin Kisner (T35), Kyle Reifers (T40), Scott Stallings (T49), Keegan Bradley (T56), Nick Flanagan (T58), Tommy Gainey (T58), Justin Hicks (T68), Chris Kirk (T68) and Casey Wittenberg (T68).

- At the PGA TOUR's Honda Classic, former eGolf Tour player Brendon de Jonge of Zimbabwe posted rounds of 70-73-67-68—278 to record a T9 finish – his best on TOUR since a T7 effort at the 2009 U.S. Bank Championship. After making the cut on the number at 3-over 143, the former Virginia Tech star notched the second-lowest weekend tally at 5-under 135 to move up nearly 50 spots in the standings. Former players Will MacKenzie and Tom Gillis each collected top-20 results with T12 and T17 finishes, respectively. MacKenzie, a South Florida resident, has played well at The Honda Classic for multiple years. His T5 finish at the 2009 event was his best of the year. For Gillis, 2010 is off to a stellar start with six made cuts in six starts and $364,808 in earning. With 2009 Nationwide Tour earnings of $364,529, Gillis has already eclipsed his tremendous season which netted him his TOUR card this year. Gillis, Kevin Na, Brian Gay and Fredrick Jacobson are the only players on TOUR this year who are six for six in cuts made. Other former eGolf Tour players making the cut in Palm Beach Gardens, FL include Matt Every (T26), Jason Bohn (T35), Jerod Turner (T59), Blake Adams (T67), David Lutterus (T67) and Derek Lamely (70).
