Tampa Bay, FL – March 22, 2010 – Former players James Nitties and Jason Bohn led all eGolf Tour representatives at the PGA TOUR's Transitions Championship over the weekend, with both players notching T20 finishes in one of the best fields on the TOUR's Florida swing.
Nitties, a charismatic Australian who played the eGolf Tour from 2005-2007, entered the week in Tampa Bay coming off the best finish of his TOUR career at the Puerto Rico Open – a T3. Nitties carded rounds of 71-73-68-69—281 to tie for 20th at Transitions, in turn recording back-to-back top-20 finishes for only the second time in his TOUR career (T17 – 2009 Valero Texas Open; 12th – 2009 HP Byron Nelson Championship).
For Bohn, the week at Transitions got off to a less-than-stellar start with a 4-over 75 in Thursday's opening round. Following the opening-round stumble, Bohn would go on to record rounds of 69-68-69 to finish T20 and collect $60,696 for his efforts. Bohn, champion Jim Furyk and runner-up K.J. Choi were the only three players in the field to shoot in the 60s each of the last three rounds.
Other former eGolf Tour players to make the cut in Tampa include Kris Blanks (T41), Brendon de Jonge (T46) and Will MacKenzie (MDF). For complete results from the Transitions Championship on pgatour.com, please click here.
